Google in court once again
Google’s list of numerous litigations just extended, as German publishers have filed a claim to the European Court of Justice. According to the charges, Google should pay the publishers, because the search engine partially display articles and snippets, the rights to which they do not own. According to law, search engines and news portals must pay the publishers for the use of digital snippets. Presenting the Court findings is delayed, however, as instead the Court is discussing the law, the application of which is demanded the publishers. The Court’s brief position is that the request has “partial basis.”
